Eight agents recently flew to Spain, where they spent seven days exploring Barcelona, Madrid and Seville, on a famil organised by Spain Tourism Board in conjunction with Qatar Airways and Rail Europe GSAs.
The group started off in Barcelona where they shopped, enjoyed city tours and learnt about modern Barcelona, enjoyed a cooking class and indulged in dinner at the Majestic Hotel & Spa, all thanks to Barcelona Turisme.
They then took the high-speed AVE train to Madrid, where they were hosted for lunch at department store El Corte Ingles, before Madrid Destino showcased the highlights of their city, visiting the Prado Museum, Casco Antigua and Plaza Mayor. The group also experienced Madrid’s vibrant nightlife at Platea bar & restaurant.
In Cordoba they visited Mezquita, Barrio Juderia and Old Quarters before heading to Seville on another high-speed AVE train. Consorcio de Sevilla hosted the group here, and they enjoyed a tour of the Cathedral, Alcazar, the Plaza de España, Parque Maria Luisa, and Barrio Santa Cruz.
The famil was organised by Spain Tourism Board in conjunction with Qatar Airways and Rail Europe GSAs. Participants included Andrew Judd from Martin & James TA, Liam Hawkes from FC Camberwell, Kyia Rogers from FC Greensborough, Meredith Thompson from Garwood & Turner TA, Eliza Welsh from FC Highpoint, Kay Franklin from The Travel Agency Moonee Ponds, Traci Webber from Travel Inspirations and Myrna Dupont from Qantas/Viva Holidays. The agents were hosted by Sue Lim from Qatar Airways, Angelina Lee from Spain Tourism Board and Ingrid Kocijan, manager Australasia of Rail Europe.
