WCWR_bridge high resTasmania’s West Coast Wilderness Railway (WCWR) will be celebrating Christmas in July with mulled wine, a festive themed menu and merry decorations.

Yulefest Journeys will run aboard the Wilderness carriage throughout July priced at $160 for adults and $90 for children (16 years and under), or $365 for a family (two adults and two children). Christmas will come early for children, as they will also receive a small gift on board.

“Interestingly, we are seeing a spike in interest in travellers, particularly from Queensland, who are embracing the true seasonality of the Tasmanian winter. Yulefest is right at home in the cool climate of Tasmania making the tradition a perfect fit for our visitors as they access some of our most remote wilderness,” said general manager Michael Saville.

In addition to the Yulefest Journeys, the Railway will continue to operate throughout the winter months offering two ‘Steaming Winter’ Rack and Gorge and River and Rainforest itineraries that will run six days of the week.

Steaming Winter Journeys depart at 10am and return at 2pm six days a week in the Wilderness Carriage and include a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, canapés, freshly baked scones, a light lunch and coffee and tea served throughout. Steaming Winter Journeys are priced at $160 for adults and $90 for children.
