@ the Global Rail Expert function in Sydney, February 2016
Agents have until 23 March to complete Rail Plus’ 2016 Global Rail Expert training program – already more than 800 consultants on both sides of the Tasman have registered for the 10-module course.
This year’s Global Rail Expert program covers a broad range of topics, including Amtrak, VIA Rail, Rocky Mountaineer, Qatar, Swiss Travel System, Eurail, France-Spain High Speed, France rail pass and TGV.
Aside from learning more about the constantly changing world of rail, agents who register will also be in the running to win a trip to Europe flying Qatar Airways, along with $1000 worth of Coles Group and Myer gift cards.
Over the past few weeks Rail Plus chief executive James Dunne has outlined this year’s training program to more than 500 Australian and New Zealand agents at events across eight cities.
“Agents have genuinely embraced the training, with some consultants completing the entire 10 modules on the first day the program was launched,” said Dunne.
“I think one of the reasons it has really resonated with agents is that this year we timed the launch to coincide with the peak demand period for rail, which means that many of the products and services we cover are very much front of mind.
“At the same time we have enhanced the modules to ensure they are not just beneficial for consultants who are new to rail but also provide a great refresher for more experienced professionals.”
The highest-performing graduate – judged by number of questions answered correctly and overall time taken to complete the course – will win a Eurail Pass and a return ticket on Qatar Airways to Europe. The second and third-placed graduates will also be rewarded with Coles Group and Myer gift cards valued at $750 and $250 respectively.
